Biotinylation reagents and kits
Biotin is a water-soluble B-vitamin. It is a coenzyme for carboxylase enzymes that are connected with the synthesis of valine, fatty acids, isoleucine and so on. The biotin-avidin-system (BAS) is commonly exploited to detect or purify proteins because of the high specificity that these two molecules have for each other. Biotinylation is the process of attaching biotin to proteins and other macromolecules. Biotinylation reagents are available for targeting specific functional groups or residues, including primary amines (–NH2), sulfhydryls(–SH), and carboxyls. |

Amine Biotinylation Reagents and Kits |
Amine activated biotin labeling reagents and kits to specifically biotinylate antibodies and other proteins or peptides at primary amines, which is numerous in most proteins either due to the presence of lysine bearing amino side chain functionality or the N-terminal-amine. |
Sulfhydryl Biotinylation Reagents |
Pyridyldithiol and iodoacetyl activated biotin labeling reagents to specifically biotinylate proteins or antibodies at sulfhydryl groups, such as reduced free thiols on cysteine residues. |
Carbonyl Biotinylation Reagents |
Hydrazide-activated labeling reagents to biotinylate polyclonal antibodies and other glycans or glycoproteins at carbohydrate groups for streptavidin detection and purification. |
